Each of the ten Faculties of the University has an academic and Faculty Administrative leader in the person of the Dean. He is Chairman of the Faculty Board, Faculty Board of Examiners and Faculty Board of Studies. This academic headship position of the Dean gives him the responsibility of coordinating and regulating teaching in examinations. Day-to-day administrative responsibilities of the Dean include arrangements for students’ admission through Faculty Admissions Committee of which he is Chairman to attendance at the Central Admissions Committee meeting where the Faculty lists are presented. Matriculation and registration matters are also responsibilities the Dean attends to.
