The university’s implementation of the collegiate system found application only in the establishment of the College of Medical Sciences. The Provost superintends over a college of three faculties viz.:
(a) Basic Medical Sciences;
(b) Clinical Sciences;
(c) Laboratory and Allied Health Sciences; each with its own academic Departments. He co-ordinates and regulates both the academic and administrative activities of the college.
