Based on the National Universities Commission (NUC) guidelines on operation of non-degree programmes, The University of Calabar runs a Pre-Degree programme.

The Pre-Degree programme provides candidates with advanced level training in order to qualify them for entry into some of our undergraduate degree programmes.

Candidates with pre-degree qualifications are admitted at the 100 level. Only candidates who have met the “O” level requirement but with low University Matriculation Examination (UME) score are offered admission to the Pre-Degree programme
