BRIEF PROFILE OF DR (MRS.) JULIA D. OMANG –
REGISTRAR, UNIVERSITY OF CALABAR, CALABAR
Dr (Mrs.) Julia D. Omang was born on 6th September, 1952 in Ntamante, Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State. She attended Holy Child Secondary School, Ogoja in 1964 – 1969 and Mary Knoll College, Okuku, Ogoja in 1970 – 1971 where she obtained her WASC – Division One and HSC – 3 A/L Papers respectively. In 1972 – 1975, Dr (Mrs.) Omang was offered admission in the first generation university - University of Ibadan for her undergraduate programme where she demonstrated her quest for academic excellence with Bachelor of Arts (Hons), 2nd Upper Division and Distinction in Postgraduate Diploma in Education between 1980 – 1981 in the University of Jos. These high displayed of intellectualism in Postgraduate Diploma opened door for direct admission into Ph.D programme in the same University in 1985 where she successfully completed in 1989 and was conferred with Doctor of Philosophy in (Philosophy of Education).
