The University is a citadel of learning and research, the primary function of which are teaching, research and service to the society in university of Calabar, both staff and students are engaged in research activities that cover a wide range of human endeavours for which manpower exist in the university. In areas of academic and societal interests where there is a dearth of staff, efforts remain relentless in the bid to fill up such gaps. Within the limits of available resources, provision for research have and will continue to receive optimal attention in the university.
