The Head of the Information Unit is Dr. Joseph Enyia Ekpang. He joined the services of the University of Calabar in 11998 as Editor II after 7 years of professional services with the Cross River Broadcasting Corporation. During his working sojourn with the Cross River Broadcasting media, he functioned in several capacities as Presentation Officer II, Acting Head of Production and Acting Controller of News. The experience garnered in the aforementioned various working capacities paved the way for his appointment as Information Officer in the year 2000 till date, thus making him the longest serving officer in that capacity. He is a recipient of many awards, beneficiary of many courses/workshop and a member of several professional and humanitarian organizations.
